В статье рассматривается случай кишечной непроходимости вследствие формирования гигантского калового камня в сигмовидной кишке. Копролиты встречаются у лиц, страдающих тяжелыми хроническими запорами. В большинстве случаев каловые камни удается удалить с помощью консервативных мероприятий, однако в данном наблюдении имелись абсолютные показания к срочной операции по поводу острой кишечной непроходимости.

The article deals with the case of intestinal obstruction due to the formation of a giant fecal stone in the sigmoid colon. Coprolites occur in individuals suffering from severe chronic constipation. In most cases, fecal stones can be removed with the help of conservative measures, however, in this case, there were absolute indications for urgent surgery for acute intestinal obstruction.
